NEW GENERATION OF FIRE MONITORS
- based on "Jet Fog" - the stream of water and foam:

  • hundred times more efficient than simple water;
  • cardinal decision of foam supply range;
  • all kinds of water and foam supply in one monitor.

   Fire engineering based on monitors belongs to the main means of fire extinguishing. Mitigation of damage caused by fire depends mainly on technics' efficiency. Nowadays technology is getting renewed according to the level of international standards, scientific and technological achievements. Unlike earlier used fire monitors with solid jets, "FR"'s fire monitors form the stream of dispersed mass of extinguishing agent (water or foam), known as "JF" (Jet Fog). In the outlet of the fire monitor in the annular gap in the accelerating stream is constructively provided conditions of water boiling and forming of directed flow of concentrated dispersed water "JF" - "Jet Fog". This extinguishing agent, as is well known, is dozens of times more efficient in fire extinguishing, than self water characteristics. At the same time it is forming ten times more useable water, and range compares well with solid jets. It is not necessary to change nozzle to for foam forming. Optimization of physical effects of the construction of fire monitor allows to increase cardinally the range of foam supply, approaching by activities to water streams.
   Fire monitors produced by "FR": water-foam with the constant discharge from 10 to 350 l/sec and with the changeable discharge 10/20, 15/25, 40/50, 60/100, 100/150 l/sec, fixed hand-held (type LS-S20(40-150)U) and portable hand-held (type LS-P20(40)U), remote-controlled fixed (type LSD-S20(40,60,100)U) and portable (type LSD-P20(40)U) mean to form solid and dispersed jet with changeable angle of stream jet and foam of low ratio.
   Under agreement with customer articles can be climatically adjusted, can be made in Marine Modifications, explosion-proof, with the oscillator, with foam former eductor and disk gates.
   There are manufactured fire robots, based on remote-controlled and programmable fire monitors with controllers, working with PC or without and with coupling devices by interface RS485.
   Fire monitors have found their place in complex systems of fire protection and also on the mobile fire engineering. Fire robots, which were represented on the 5th international exhibition "Protection and security-96" in Saint-Petersburg, are supplied with IR-cameras and allow automatically disclose the ignition, direct the extinguishing stream on fireplace, extinguish all the area of fire.
   There are formed automatic fire extinguishing installations based on fire robots - robotized fire complexes, which are used nowadays for protection of high-floored buildings, hangars for aerobus, covered show sport buildings, inflatable constructions.

Fire monitors are divided:
  • depending on their basement:
    S - stationary, erected on fire engines or fire pipelines;
    P - portable, mobile (erected on trolleys);
  • depending on their functionality:
    U - versatile, generating a dispersed water or foam jet with adjustable angle from a cumulative jet to a 90° shielding screen;
  • depending on the water or foaming agent solution flow rate:
    with constant flow rate - 20, 40, 60, 100 or 150 l/sec;
    with adjustable flow rate - 20/40, 40/50, 60/100, 100/150 l/sec;
  • depending on the type of control:
    D - on-site remote-controlled;
    without index "D" - hand-held
  • climatically adjusted:
    U1 - for general-purpose appliances;
    UHL - for fire engines;
    MM - Marine Modifications;
  • depending on proofness:
    Ex - explosion-proof 1ExdIICT4;
    dust- and drip-proof IP55 and IP65.
  • advanced options to the basic articles:
    Ui -paving, with impulse supply;
    UE - similar ones, including foaming agent eductor;
    ss- supplied with shielding water screen to protect a fireman;
    o - with hydraulic oscillator;
    re - rope driven, elevated type;
    T - transported, erected on trailers, Tp - similar ones, equipped with a pumping unit.

Given below is an example of description for a water/foam multi-purpose stationary fire monitor with the flow rate of 100 l/sec, remote-controlled, off-shore, explosion-proof: LSD-S100U-Ex-MM as per GOST P 51115-97.

Hand-held fire monitors conform to requirements of TU 4854-004-16820082-2003 and are fabricated in two types:
  • HHCU-50A - versatile, generating a dispersed water or foam jet with adjustable angle from a cumulative jet to a 90° shielding screen, easy-to-close, with flow rate of 2 to 8 l/s.
  • HHCU-50A-MM - similar ones, Marine Modifications

Fire robots on base of fire monitors GOST P 51115-97 made according TU 4854-005-16820082-2005 have contractions for monitors and are divided:
  • depending on the type of control
    programmable robots;
    IR - similar ones, with IR sensors, with automatic ignition disclosure and automatic fire fighting;

Given below is an example of description for a robotized fire complex (RFC) including eight fire robots (FR), flow rate 40 l/sec, with the device for ignition disclosure in IR-range: RFC-8FR-LSD-S40U-IR, TU 4854-005-16820082-2005.

The company of FR carries out the design and construction under the licenses No. 11004334, No. 1/00654 and No. 2/01144 issued by the Central Administrative Board of the State Fire Department of the Russian Federation Emergencies Ministry for the fire-fighting systems based on the concept of fire monitors, as a part of integrated fire protection systems.

ATTENTION: In connection with a fact, that software is being elaborated individually, taking into account fire robots’, annunciators’ and other equipment’s location, “FR”-SPA examines every project with application of RFC.
